A Marine and Air Force Veteran now at the forefront of U.S. Naval defense, Rob’s Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ experience prepared him for endless possibilities in Cybersecurity

He utilizes tools he learned at Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ to ensure Navy and Department of Defense (DOD) Cybersecurity standards are met.

β€œKnowing that my work has the potential to save American lives is what I take great pride in.”

Rob can take pride in his career path with training from Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ

β€œMy team and I contributed to a test launch that not only shows the world the unmatched capability of the U.S., but also sustains the nation’s sea-based strategic deterrence for the future. Knowing that my work has the potential to save American lives is what I take great pride in.”

Being a Veteran is a shared bond with a community

Rob is a Veteran, having served in the Marine Corps as a Sergeant and in the Air Force as a Master
Sergeant. Since 2003, he has been deployed five times, and is about to retire with a growing career. β€œI feel very lucky to be in the position I am in.”

β€œBeing a Veteran not only reflects who I am, it means that I share a common bond with a community. The men and women I have served with are still my family today, whether they are in New England or across the country. Observing Veterans Day is important to honor the sacrifice that Veterans have endured for our freedom.”

β€œThe best part of the Cybersecurity field is that you can go in so many directions. The possibilities are endless. And Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ has the tools for you to be successful.”

Hands-on cybersecurity training helped launch Rob to success

For Rob, Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ’s strengths were the hands-on training, lab work and practical focus from instructors. β€œI loved the environment.”

β€œThe best part of the Cybersecurity field is that you can go in so many directions. The possibilities are endless.”

Rob encourages Veterans attending Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ to seize the opportunities. β€œEven if your job in the military was something completely different, you have the chance to chase your goal and live it. My job was training Aircrew in water and land survival skills, and now I work in Cybersecurity. You can get to where you want to go. And Ώ΄Ζ¬ΏρΘΛ has the tools for you to be successful.”
